The TH1 is the only headphone built with a complete hi-fi signal chain inside: a dual-core high-resolution DAC, a real vacuum tube preamp stage, and true dual-mono amplification — fully independent channels from DAC to driver. Where conventional headphones eliminate key stages and components to save money and space by collapsing the entire chain into a single digital chip, the TH1 contains every stage of a full analog hi-fi system. A dual-core high-resolution DAC converts the digital signal. The real vacuum tube preamp shapes harmonic structure and microdynamic texture before amplification, just as in a reference-grade rack system. Two discrete amplifiers — left and right — complete the full dual-mono chain, keeping channels physically isolated from DAC to driver, eliminating inter-channel crosstalk and preserving the imaging and spatial depth of the recording.

The result is the sound of a full tube-based hi-fi system because architecturally, it is one. Mirroring the architecture of a full hi-fi system is what makes the TH1 sound like a full system.
